‘My eternal smile, my slightly receding hairline, and my positive mindset.’
What goals do you pursue in your job and in life?
‘Above all, I want to help others shine, or at least make sure they feel better. Mainly by being as enthusiastic as possible and working for the team, with the necessary dose of humor.’
What gets your happy hormones bubbling?
‘A group of people feeling the same positive emotional vibe due to a single achievement. That could be a cultural or sporting performance, but also a team effort or even a speech.’
How can your fellow Heart Hunters, as well as our clients, recognize you?
‘In two words, I would describe myself as calm and cheerful.’
We love diving into our clients’ ambitions. Are you an ambitious person yourself?
‘It’s not that I have one specific grand ambition, but I do strive to stay balanced and grow in both my personal and professional life. I get the most satisfaction from enjoying small moments and developing strong relationships.’
Modesty aside: what are you outstanding at?
‘I have the skill of being able to make a joke—often a cheesy one—about absolutely anything. Although I have to admit I’ve found some stiff competition in that department at Expliciet.’
Who is Silke-at-work?
‘I like to grab things immediately and dive in with full enthusiasm. I usually figure out the concrete approach along the way. Oh, and I always have my water bottle nearby to make sure I drink enough water throughout the day.’
The sky is the limit. What ambitions are you carrying around?
‘I want to be a person others can count on. Whether that’s friends and family, colleagues, or clients…’
Do you have any hidden talents we should definitely know about?
‘I know a huge amount of lyrics by heart. From 90s hits to more recent songs, I’m not afraid to belt them out regularly. I also remember a lot of (trivial) things. If friends want to know who our biology teacher was in the first year of secondary school, I’m their girl (laughs).’
